The Historical Processions of the Holy Week start from Piazza San Giovanni, follow the traditional route through the streets of the historic centre of Mendrisio, cross the main square and reach the Capuchin church. From here they return to the church of San Giovanni.

The public can freely choose the place where to attend the processions, but we point out that you can book a seat on the stands in Piazza del Ponte.

The two processions parade through the streets of the Old Town in two directions, so the same evening you can attend two passages. Many people take advantage of the opportunity to move along the route and wait for the return in the direction of San Giovanni.
